WTF…New Black Liberation Militia
Posted by questionfuture on March 20, 2012
OK! This group of thugs can have a militia and threaten violence, but if I join a constitutional militia following the rules of the 2nd Amendment and the Militia Act of 1903, I get placed on a list and watched by the DHS, FBI, CIA, DOD, DATF, and NAMBLA! REALLY…WTF!

Running Update
Posted by questionfuture on February 29, 2012
Doing well with the running. Today is a rest day and so I’ve been going easy. RPGing this evening so it’s a good thing it’s a rest day. Won’t get home till after 9:00 PM. Will pick it back up tomorrow evening.
Went out last night to run and on my second cul-de-sac I seen something I wasn’t expecting. Standing on the grass near the road was a large pot bellied pig. Just standing there taking in the evening. I live in a dense residential area so pigs are a rare sight. I actually had to stop to make sure I was seeing what it was correctly. Turned out to be a neighbor’s and very friendly.

Learning To Run
Posted by questionfuture on February 26, 2012
I used to run everyday. Well, everyday I was in the army, but since I got out I hadn’t run much at all. I got lazy. I know that’s not a good excuse, but now I’m going to once again take up running/jogging.
I have lost 44 pounds over the last year. I know that may be a bit slow, but it took me awhile to put the weight on so I’m taking my time getting rid of it.
This evening I started with walking at a good pace for 30 minutes. I’m following the process outlined on this site: http://www.runningplanet.com/training/beginning-runner-program.html
I will keep the blog informed about my progress. 5k here I come!

If I Were President
Posted by questionfuture on February 3, 2012
I know many of us dream of being leader of the free world. But what few understand is that the power wielded by such a person is not his alone. The People are the power, not the person in office. That is what is wrong with this nation today. Those in power couldn’t care less about We the People.
So I figured I would put together a brief essay on what would occur if I were president. I’m going to cover the points that I feel are most important to me and hopefully gain an understanding for who I’m going to vote for next year.
Foreign Affairs:
My first action would be to ask Congress to cut all foreign aid across the board. Tax payer money should not be used to prop up regimes that are hostile to Americans. This means most Islamic nations will just have to do without U.S. tax dollars. We as a nation can no longer throw our hard-earned money into pits filled with corrupt leaders. Pakistan is not our ally, the sooner we realize this, the better.
Our closest allies will also have to do without our money. Only in times of catastrophe should American money be sent overseas. Americans are very generous and have always come to the aid of the suffering. The government should be in the business of helping Americans, not everyone but Americans. The generous natures of the American people will help in times of need.
American troops stationed abroad need to be brought home. There is no longer a need for Americans to be placed in harm’s way for dictators and tyrants. Germany is no longer a conquered nation and our troops stationed there along with our equipment should be shipped home. The nation of Japan should be able to defend itself from aggression from North Korea and China. Let the Japanese people abolish Article 9 of their constitution allowing them to once again maintain a suitable military power for their defense.
American troops in Afghanistan need to be brought home as well. We must come to grips with the fact that these nations are just slaughter houses for our people and no matter how much money is thrown at the problem it only leads to more bloodshed for our armed forces. We cannot change Islam. Islam and the West are incompatible. When we finally accept this fact we will be on the road to understanding the people of the Middle East.
No more military action without a declaration of war from congress. No more sending troops into fighting without following the constitution. Furthermore, soldiers sent to war will be given the ability to engage the enemy on our terms. No more restrictive rules of engagement. We take the fight to the enemy to win. We must have the courage to name our enemy and fight them till victory. It will no longer be the job of our military to be a humanitarian force cleaning up the messes of others after battle. We are there to fight, win, and come home quickly.
The world believes that America protects Israel. Yes, in some aspects we do, but we also keep Israel from completely dominating the area. I feel that if Israel is attacked then she must protect her people by all means necessary. If that means a full scale invasion of Gaza and the West Bank, then it just has to be. If Iran threatens to destroy Israel with nuclear weapons, then Israel should have the right to stop this from happening. The rise of Islamic Nazism around the world makes a Jewish homeland more important than ever. There will never be peace between the Jews and Arabs. This is just a fact we can no longer afford to overlook.
The United States needs to start pulling away from the United Nations. The U.N. is a corrupt organization ran by Marxists and thieves. As the saying goes, get the U.S. out of the U.N. and get the U.N. out of the U.S.
Our Economy:
As the constitution says, “Provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, secure the blessings of liberty.” This is all the government should be doing. The government shouldn’t be dictating what we can and cannot eat. Shouldn’t be forcing a certain product or service down our throats, and it most definitely shouldn’t be taxing small and large businesses into the ground. The government created this economic mess, Republicans and Democrats share the blame. The only way out of it is to unleash the might of the free market. I would lower corporate and business taxes to historically low levels. Allow small business to flourish by unsaddling them with crippling fees and regulations.
I would also like to see labor unions start giving back the money they have stolen from the workers. That’s right! Money stolen from workers and delivered into the hands of the political machine would be better used in the hands of the workers than in the pocket of some politician. Labor unions are now just corrupt, money laundering schemes that place communists in power which in the end will only make workers slaves of the state.
All people have a right to work. You shouldn’t have to pay fat-cat union bosses just to put cash in your pocket. The money is yours, you work and you get paid a fair wage. Take the power away from those who lie to you and tell you that you need them. The government already sets a minimum wage, protects workers from abusive bosses and makes sure places of labor are safe. Unions are an outdated concept that only stifles productivity and drives up the costs of goods for the consumer. The unions say they are helping the workers when in all actuality they are taking from them on both ends, first in dues, then in the market place.
No enterprise is big enough to fail. If companies fail it is the fault of their CEO’s, officers and board members. The tax-paying public shouldn’t have to bail out anyone. You and I didn’t make bad business decisions, so why should we pay for the mistakes of a company that put itself out of business. Let the chips fall where they may.
No Federal Reserve. That is just plain and simple. The Fed has done nothing good for this nation. Our Founding Fathers were against a central banking institution and I believe they knew what they were talking about. Return our economy to the gold standard once we pay off our debts to our creditors.
I like the Fair Tax being talked about by conservatives. No loopholes, no one is exempt, just plain and simple.
My views on Social Security are simple. The age of retirement should be moved to 68 and Congress can no longer dip their hands into the SS cookie jar. All those who are 40 and over retain the current age system. Monies freed up from reduced foreign aid will be used to strengthen Social Security levels.
My feeling on Welfare is simple as well. You don’t want people on welfare? Do away with welfare. No more paying people to be baby-factories.
States Rights:
Our Founding Fathers would wonder why any state would still wish to be a part of a union which circumnavigates or down-right ignores the will of the people. I feel that if the government becomes such that all it brings is sorrow and tyranny, then the only answer is secession. A union is supposed to be beneficial for all parties involved. Do you think this union cares about your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness? It doesn’t but it should. As president the states would not only want to stay but be proud to stay. I would refer to the Declaration of Independence as well as the Constitution. If the government’s actions mirror that of the British in the 1760’s and 1770’s then we have a problem.
Equal Rights:
All are created equal. No one is greater than another. Your skin color, racial makeup, gender, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation makes no difference. We are equal. There would be no special class of people under the law. No longer would there be affirmative action laws or hate crime laws. The laws of the land would be applicable to all citizens. Just because you are different in some way doesn’t make you privileged or above the law.
Illegal Aliens:
We must understand that the word illegal has specific meaning. In my book illegal means criminal. If foreign nationals are here illegally they are subject to deportation upon discovery. Those documented workers who have followed our immigration laws will be afforded the courtesy of remaining in the United States. The states should have the right to enforce their own laws in regards to this issue. Federal laws should be followed instead of ignored like they are today.
Troops will be stationed on our borders to deter illegal aliens from crossing into the United States. Troops or citizens that come under fire from hostiles near the border will be considered enemy combatants and engaged by our armed forces.
Abortion:
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, an aborted child is robbed of all of these. People need to be held responsible for their actions. Killing a child because you couldn’t take the time to use contraception or just not have sex is no excuse. Abortion is not an acceptable method of birth control in my view. Abortion is wrong and should be finished as a practice in the United States. Never should tax payer dollars be used to fund abortions.
The Internet:
The Internet should remain forever free of government restriction. The open flow of ideas and commerce should not be tampered with.
Gun Laws:
The 2nd Amendment is clear to me. All law abiding citizens should be allowed to own a weapon for defense of person and property. All men and women of voting age should (if they so wish) own and be proficient with their weapon of choice. Weapons training should be mandatory for first time firearm owners.
Military Issues:
I feel that the National Guard should no longer be used for federal service. Guard control would fall completely to the states they are mustered from and no longer subject to federal activation. State militias could be formed under the Militia Act of 1903 but be paid for by the states alone.
Domestic Issues:
Houses of worship that preach hate against other religions and promote violence would be closed down and the facility and land sold at auction. Known individuals with terrorist ties would be deported or jailed.
Organizations that promote violence and hatred, or call for the destruction of people and property, must be defunded and investigated.
In closing:
I would like to believe I would be a great president. Of course no one likes to look at themselves as a possible failure. Surely there is some out there who would look at my writings and dismiss me outright. I also know that many of the ideas I mention here will never show up as a candidate’s platform. It is nice to wish though.
